An ADF Druid's trials, tribulations, musings, and victories

I haven’t been posting much lately, and for that I apologize.  I am planning my own wedding with my fiance that will take place September 28.  There are many things to finalize and make.  I have also been working with a local agency to find some sort of job so my fiance and I can have a place of our own sometime around the wedding date.  Both of these things together make life very stressful, and so I haven’t posted much.  I have been physically ill from the stress, which means I haven’t been doing much spiritual practice.

I have recently learned to knit, which somewhat helps with the stress.  I am currently working on a scarf to wear in the fall and winter.  It isn’t perfect, but it is only my first project, so I’m not beating myself up about it.

I am finding that now may perhaps be a perfect time to learn to meditate and establish a daily practice.  Meditation has been shown to reduce stress levels in many studies.  I know it will be hard to get started, but hopefully the benefits will encourage me to keep going.  A friend of mine is working on a sort of “meditation training program” that provides a structured way of learning meditation and trance that I am very interested in.  I hope to hear more about the progress of this program in the coming weeks.

I feel like I should be doing some sort of spiritual practice, but with physical sickness, I’m not really sure what it would be.  If anyone has any suggestions, I would love to hear them.

I hope all of you are having a good time with life right now.

Blessings, Victoria
